Antonio Vivaldi
Gloria
RV 589
Vivaldi's Gloria in D major (RV 589) is one of the most frequently performed Baroque choral works. Composed around 1715 for the Ospedale della Pietà in Venice, its twelve movements span a wide range of moods — from the jubilant opening chorus to the gentle "Domine Deus" and the rousing final "Cum Sancto Spiritu" fugue.
