Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Coronation Mass
K. 317
Mozart's Coronation Mass (K. 317) takes its name from its association with the annual coronation of a miraculous image of the Virgin Mary at Maria Plain near Salzburg. Written in 1779, it is one of Mozart's most festive and accessible sacred works, balancing choral grandeur with exquisite solo writing.
